Ron Pettigrew, FSR

Ron Pettigrew is a distinguished individual with a rich history of service and commitment. His journey began in 1975 when he enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF), serving as a Traffic Management Airman at Travis Air Force Base, CA. Ron’s dedication and contributions earned him an honorable discharge from the USAF. Undeterred by challenges, Ron entered the USAF Reserves (USAFR) while concurrently working as a Nuclear Submarine Welder at Mare Island Naval Station for a commendable fifteen years. His versatility and resilience were evident as he navigated dual roles until the closure of Mare Island in 1995. In 1995, Ron’s journey took a new turn as he was transferred to FT. Lewis, WA. Here, he served as a retention Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) for the U.S. Army until his retirement in 2005, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant after an impressive thirty-year military career.

Ron’s dedication to serving his fellow soldiers extended beyond the battlefield. In 1999, he was introduced to the financial planning process, recognizing a significant need for clear information on benefits and future financial needs. Empowered by a representative’s guidance, Ron made informed decisions about his financial future, leading to a desire to assist others in a similar manner. Post-retirement, Ron had the privilege of representing AFBN, where his number one priority is ensuring soldiers have access to all available and updated information for educated decisions about their careers and family’s financial future. He sees it as a pleasure to be a representative, emphasizing that regardless of one’s location, he is just a phone call away.

In closing, Ron expresses gratitude for the service of his fellow soldiers and extends a heartfelt blessing. His story is one of resilience, dedication, and a continued commitment to supporting and preparing others for their financial journeys.

Thank you for your service and may God bless your endeavors.

Ron found success at AFBN.
Now, It’s YOUR turn.
